Countryview Featured in NAPA eMagazine

We’re delighted to share some exciting news — our work has been featured in the NAPA eMagazine, celebrating the meaningful activities that sit at the heart of life in our home.

The article shines a spotlight on our nostalgia board project, an initiative designed to bring memories to life and place residents’ stories front and centre. Created together with residents, these boards explore themes such as childhood memories, working life, favourite foods, holidays and treasured pets — all chosen by the people who know those memories best.

Rather than us deciding what nostalgia should look like, residents led the way. From selecting images to choosing themes, every board is entirely personal. The result has been truly powerful. Childhood memories filled the room with warmth, working-life boards sparked pride, and food and holiday themes quickly turned into lively conversations and shared laughter.

What’s really stood out for our activities team is that the process mattered just as much as the finished boards. Sitting together, listening, validating experiences and asking gentle follow-up questions created moments of genuine connection. Residents who are usually quieter began to contribute, new stories emerged, and even families have discovered things they didn’t know about their loved ones.

Today, each board is framed and displayed in residents’ rooms  — acting as conversation starters, memory prompts and affirmations that every life here holds a rich bundle of stories worth telling.

Being recognised by NAPA for this work means a great deal to us and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering person-centred, meaningful activities that enhance wellbeing and celebrate individuality.
